How to provide precalculated reports in a new web template?

Dear Experts,

i have 3 precalculated web templates each as a single html file somewhere on the system.

Now I want to provide these static reports in the portal.

My idea was to create a new web template, create a tabstrip container and add links to each of the files. But for each web item resp. web template you have to define a data provider. Static links are not possible.

Any idea how I can realize this scenario?

System: Netweaver 2004s, SPS 10

Thanky in advance,

Sven

    Hi ashwin,

could you please describe the necessary steps a little more detailed?

Which table settings do you mean? And where can I find the read mode?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Sven

    • Hi!

in the web application desigener .. when you open your webtemplate. ...you can go to its properties ,i.e propery of webtemplate and there you can change the property "readmode for data" which can be changed to current data or precalculated data or hybrid.... soo if you set this property to precalculated..only the precalculated data from dataset is displayed in the webreport which you can accessusing the url ivew in portal

    Hi,

is it possible that you are on a different patch level? I can't see such a property neither in the web template properties resp. parameters nor in the online documentation.

add on: we are using frontend patch 11.

    Best regards,

    Sven

    Hi,

Unfortunately this does not solve my problem. The problem appears already during the creation of the web template: how can I define a webtemplate, containing tabs for each of the static html files? The tabstrip container requires a web item and web items require data providers. For this data provider property only queries, query-views or infoprovider are allowed.

I think it's not possible to provide static html files in a web template...

Maybe one has to create the links to the precalculated reports in the portal itself.

    thanks & regards,

    Sven

    • Hi!

I think you should not do it with a web template. If you want to display your precalculated reports in a portal..just create an URL iview for each webtemplate which is precalculated and use the worksets or rolles to group them into a single page where each ivew or webreport is displayed in a tab.

      with regards
