Exits are basically pieces of code that allows you to modify the behaviour of the standard system, without change it so that an upgrade won't affect your modifications.

Pls. refer to OSS note to better understand them

    Hi

    There are basically two things

    1) User Exit

    2) Custom Exits(Function exit, field exit , screen exit)

User exits are specific to SD Module

u can check program MV45AFZZ , and search USEREXIT

For Function exit , go to CMOD Tcode , create project

then assign enhancement to , TRY U can use enhancement LMR1M001 .

    and assign EXIT_SAPLMR1M_003 .

    Try

    hi

user exit are strategic location in the sap-standard programming, whrere you can impement extra functionality ot we can change the standard flow...

to fing the user-exit we have to goto SMOD transaction.. there u have to enter the Exit id then you will get the exits available... in CMOD you have to create a project and endter the EXITID( IF U WANTO IMPLEMETN normally the project will be created at the starting of the Implementation as a developer u no need to create a project)

in the SMOD if you double click on the exit.. u will enter to se37(function module editor... here there will find an INCLUDE .. here u have to write thecode.

when the standard program is running the system will chek whether the exit is implemented or not... then if it is implemented the system will execute you r code in the EXIT.
