Hi,

Is there any role, other than super admin,

that allows unlocking models in visual composer?

Thanks,

Roey Goldstein

Hi,

I have checked this issue.

a User that has administrator rights and VC Role can unlock models.

I have attached a screeen shot:

Name

Description

Data Source

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.gm.cnt/core/VCRole VCRole Portal Role

Administrator Administrator role UME Database

This user is not a super admin

I hope this helps

I think there is no other role.

Anyways: why do you want a role other than super admin? Unlocking a model is actually a pretty critical thing, especially if you have a lot of work invested in your large model. I would not like anybody to unlock it while I edit it.

But I am open to suggestions....

Hi Mario,

I had the requirements for a customer demo. The demo user should only have a portal role for the deployed VC model and should also change the model. It's not an important case, but I think in a company there could be developers without super admin rights.

Dear Mario,

Having a non super admin role that will allow developers to unlock their models

would be very useful since they all sit close to each other and can consult each other about their models without being depended on a super admin

to unlock their models.

Thank you both for the clarification.

Thanks to Asaf's comment, it looks like it is not necessary to have the super admin, but just the admin authorizations.

Hi Roe ,

I think there is no role other then Super Admin in VC 6.0,

may be possible in VC7.0

We use VC7 SP10 and it seems, that there is also no other role.

I hope, that Mario post, that he knows another role. When will he post?

Hi Roey,

I had the same problem. Local models need not superadmin, but in the public folder it seens that you must be super admin. But I had a discussion with our base admin. He told me that there must be another possibility to organize the rights of the portal content and unlocking models. I would say that you must super admin.

I hope Mario knows another solution for this issue.

Best Regards,

Marcel
