Problems in installation of Business Content...

We have just installed BI 7.0.

And for checking I tried to install a simple Query:Number of trips....

In grouping I had selected IN DATAFLOW BEFORE AND AFTERWARDS...

Still in STIMULATTE INSTALLATION I am getting errors like:

<b>InfoObjects for InfoCube 0FITV_C01 not available in active version</b>(error message concised as coming for all InfoObjects of the InfoCube)

<b>Data source 0COMP_CODE_ATTR_TEXT not maintained</b>

More errors concerning the InfoCube 0FITV_C01 coming. But infocube 0FITV_C01 is in collected items.

Can anyone please guide how to solve this.

Dear Sudipto,

try installing only Dataflow Afterwards for a Query,as Dataflow before and afterwards is not atall a suggestable way of Installing, try to check the errors, they might be because of inactive datasources aswell..so maintain the datasources for that particular Infocube.

Always try to install individually if you are not sure whether you have maintained all the datasources..

<b>The InfoObjects for this Infocube not in active version</b>

Another thing how do I identify the Datasource for the given InfoCube...

Dear Sudipto,

Find out the specific infoobjects and tick them for the installation . regarding the datasources, try to find the update Rules for that Infocube, usually the infosource name would be same to the datasource name for R/3 ..most of the cases..

I have successfully replicated the Datasource. But still my problem persists...

.i.e. <b>InfoObjects are not in active version</b>.

Do I have to install each of these InfoObjects seperately...

By the way I m still just simulating installation and not actually installing...

Hi,

Do the instalation , it will be over with out any problem.

or Instead of Taking the query as starting point,first activate the cube with Data flow before .

And then query activation with necessary Objects. or you can activate the cube with data flow after Grouping.

I tried to install but errors are coming for Update rules...

Actually it is stating:

<b>Data source 0HR_PA_OS_1 not maintained</b>

This it is stating for other data Sources also...

I have successfully activated the Datasources in BI and then activated the same.

Can anyone guide me what more needs to be done to the Datasources to eliminate the error...

I also got this message but i think it can be solved by replicating the data sources in the BI system and then assigning it manually to the respective infosource.

this should work .
