Aaccess restrict for OB52 maintenance

The controllership maintain the posting period in production system the way they want it ( open/close whenever they have to do it), but, OB52 will give them access to all posting period maintenance and we can't take that risk.

Question: Is there a way to restrict access to the maintenance of two specific cocodes (for only two period posting variants), but not all the period posting variants?

    Hi,

    Good evening and greetings,

There is no standard functionality available as such for that requirement...all you have to do is create a Z transaction called ZOB52 and in that you can maintain a screen variant for that two company codes...I have a documentation for the same as we are maintaining for our client and provide me your personal mail ID for sending the same.

Please reward points if found useful

    Thanking you

    With kindest regards

    Hi

Using the authorization object F_BKPF_BUP it should be possible to provide authorization for OB52.

    Thanks

    Ashok

    Hi Ashok,

I knew object F_BKPF_BUP is used together with last column of OB52. But it seems to control authorization of group people for posting with account types.

My concern is OB52 access. In OB52, you can maintain all the open/close periods for all the variants. But I want to add some restriction to maintain certain posting variant based on some authorization. So it would be any risk for someone to change other posting variants which are not belong their CoCodes.

    Regards,

    Jennifer
