How to add a command (not a command group) to the menu bar in KM Nav iview

Hi,

I have a requirement to add a command to the menu bar, in KM navigation iview, which should work on a single click. I mean to say, it should not be a menu item under some menu. Rather, it should be a clickable command on the menu bar itself. I tried adding the command to the command group which is being displayed. But it is not displaying the command. I also tried giving the 'expanded' modifier for a group which contains only this command. Even that is not working. Is there a way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

There are settings how a group of commands is to be displayed for the resources.

Parameter of a Resource Renderer Setting:

Command Display (rndItemActionStyle)

Specifies how the commands for a resource are displayed

If this does not solve, plz be clear where exactly are your commands shown?

Do you mean IView Tray when you say MenuBar?

Hi Praveen,

The links and settings that you have posted are associated with the Resource Renderer. My requirement is not to change the way a resource is displayed in the KM Nav iview.

When you open a KM Nav iview (ex. Content Admin -> KM content), you see four parts which are Menu Bar, Bread Crumb, Tree and List. The Menu Bar is the are which contains menus like View, Folder, Go To & Search.

Now, What I want is to add a command to the menu bar which should work as a single click item. It should not be a sub menu item. It should be the top level menu item and it should trigger a command on clicking.

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.
