Hi, I find it difficult to develop Java using WebIDE for HANA (I'm on an express edition)
Is there a way to develop in Eclipse? Just transferring Java files to eclipse doesnt work as I cant find the required SAP Libraries
Good enough start would be if I could get the sample proejct from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rF0Fby3PqUU to compile on Eclipse
Hi Thomas,
Are you facing any errors while following the tutorial ? If so please let us know the errors you are facing here.
Thanks!
Raghavi

Hi Raghavi. No, the tutorial is fine and working.
I have hard times extending though. No Code completion. No information on the used classes (com.sap.gateway.v4.rt.* -- didnt find javadocs, nor jars). Even have to guess RequestType constants.
But the question is also more generic in its own right: is it possible to use eclipse for the development (even if i cant deploy from eclipse)
Hi Raghavi,
I have the same problem. I was a Java developer before SAP. I know you have put lots of efforts to the Web IDE project. But could I say it's still toooooo premature to use? It's unfriendly, very slow, sometime annoyed error popup just drives me crazy.
I don't think this could attract more and more developers to SAP/HANA community.
