Difference in xi 2.0,3.0 and 7.0 vertions

Hi all,

Plz give me some link or any info that describes features of all XI vertions(2.0,3.0 and 7.0) and enhancements from old vertion to new vertion

Hi Ram,

There is lot of difference between 2.0 to 3.0.

1)Difference in Adapters usaga.

2)Difference in Mapping Functions.

3)WAS will not support the 2.0

There are lot of changes from 2.0 to 3.0 but where as from 3.0 to 7.0 no there i no lot of changes but i can tell few changes.

Now the XI 7.0 is more flexible,robust and more advantages of new upgraded version.

Hi,

XI 2.0 was a very old version.

1. It had a j2Se adapter engine

2. It did not have BPM.

XI 3.0

1. J2Se adapter engine was replaced with J2EE Adapter Engine.

2. BPM was available from XI 3.0

3. Part of Netweaver 2004

PI 7.0

1XI renames as Process Integration

2.. Part of Netweaver 2004s.

3. Has all features of XI 3.0 and every SP of Pi 7.0 has a corresponding release for XI 3.0.

4. Runs on WAS 7.0 and has same features as XI 3,0
