Issue with Web IDE Personal Edition on Windows 7 32 Bit Version

Hi Experts,

I have downloaded the Webide Personal edition for Trail usage 64 bit Software from tools.hana.ondemand.com. I have followed the steps as per the cloud documentation( by creating a SAPWebIDE folder and extracting the zip into the folder and then configured the port and ran the Orion server) and it is working like gem as expected in my Windows 8 64 bit operating system.

But unfortunately the same procedure dint work for my 32 bit system. i have followed the same procedure and downloaded 32 bit webide personal edition software and followed the same procedure as above on my Windows 7 32 bit operating system.

I am able to run the orion server and able to access the orion server through URL --> http://localhost:9090

But if i try to acess the webide URL--> http://localhost:9090/webide/index on my windows 7, i am getting the following error.

i also ensured and cross checked the required plugins are being maintained in the following path related to webide

C:\SAPWebIDE\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.webide.orionplugin_1.45.3\webide

Still i have no luck to run this version on Windows 7

Any experts can help me out solving my issue if i miss any other confugurations specifically for 32 Bit operating system.

    Hi Avula,

I faced a same issue in my personal edition/on premise IDE and fixed that by changing the port number to default value 8080. You can figure out more precise reason for failure in Orion server messages which can be observed in the dos prompt screen.

I hope you have downloaded the correct(windows 32 bit compatible) on-premise Orion file for this operation.

Besides of this workaround, it is highly recommended that you switch to SAP Web IDE for further development operations as on-premise has certain limitations when it comes to oData service integrations or upload application to repository. All standard functionalities and more can be enjoyed in SAP Web IDE that you can possibly have in on-premise.

    Good Luck!
