The "Search Option Set" and the "Search Component Set" offer you quite some flexibility.

The document is not enough for me, I still don't understand how to do it. We need to do a new serach with the serarch fields as I need.

Hi,

As Lars said The "Search Option Set" and the "Search Component Set" offer you quite some flexibility.

You can configure both of these component to customize your search.

Once you did it, you can create a new basic search iview and set these components.

On the other hand, you also customize the layout use to show result of search.

Dont'f forget that you need to configure Trex and create an index.

For instance, I configured the search criteria, the system only asked me some metadatas (created by us,whose value are dependents). Each time that you upload a document you set these attributes.

Then when you want to search, appear a screen with these values

Country :

City:

search field:

Hi all,

Patricio's reply was very helpful. He says "Each time that you upload a document you set these attributes". The fact is that I have already 7000 files and I can't add metadatas manually for each file. I would like to add a country metadata, and fortunately the country is mentioned in the filename.

Is it possible to create a routine which parse the filename to get the country name, and insert it into the country metadata field?

I have a full TREX installation.

Hello Julien,

You might think of running a property propogation report within the portal.From there on you can assign properties in bulk.

@Ajeya : Haha, I was thinking of a more "old-school" technique, but the propagation of properties is exactly what I need. Thanks a lot.

I did ask a question on this <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=470393&tstart=0">forum</a> regarding the propagation of properties.

I'm not able to let it working when versioning on folders is enable.

Could you help.
