Create new users

When we created new users, we copied from others (Admin). It contains all the favoriate. How can I delete the favoriate for this new user?

If I would like to give user permission to read only one of the InfoArea, how can I do that? Can user still able to see InfoPackage and DTPs under each InfoObject? Thanks!

    hi Qingbo,

you can delete the favorite by login with the user id, and right click 'favorites' and 'delete all favorites'. or when copy user, to avoid favorites be copied,

    don't mark 'personalization'.

to give user access to read only of certain object, you can create role with PFCG , go to 'authorization' tab, if a window pop up, choose do not select template ..

for infoarea, you can try need to choose

then click 'selection criteria', and obsolete Authorization objects AAAA and Data Warehousing Workbench - Data Model (not used yet) S_RS_DMOD ...

( or better choose business info. warehouse (RS) and

the object under infoarea e.g infocube, infoobject catalog.)

by click the - sign and 'insert choose', expand the authorization object and click pencil in front of 'activity' and mark '03', give the infoarea name etc...

    hope this helps.
