thesre is no service call to import bapi on wd component left pan .i am on ecc5.

plz help me

    Hi Vijay,

    the service call for ABAP OO is not yet implemented.

    Only for RFC calls.

    To add the call using code completion options:

    a) the Pattern option in editor

    b) By drag and drop from object hierarchy on the left.

    Option b) I use all the time.

    All IF_WD interfaces and any classes I am using in WDA are added to my favourites and repository browser.

    You select the class or interface in the left panel, open the tree to see the methods then drag and drop the method name. Instant code to call method.

    You can also define the Context objects for a structure easily using the context wizard.

    The Context can be accessed via wizard, so everything the service call wizard does

    is achievable using another wizard. You just need to do 3 steps not 1.

    So the lack of SERVICE CALL wizard for ABAP OO methods would only replace the

    need to use 3 wizard / code completion options plus the DATA statements.

    A nett saving of about 2 minutes.
