MRP runs does not include the sales order qty

Hi,

I'm running MRP for a code using manual reorder point, but it only create a new PR if the stock balance is less than reorder point. It doesn't take into account the sales order.

For example, the manual reorder point is 70, and my stock balance is 65. and I have a sales order of 100.

The MRP runs will just create the PR with the quantity of 5 to top up the stock until 70. And my available qty show that I still have shortage of 30, because of the sales order. Is there anyway to take into account so that during the MRP runs, it will create a PR of 35, instead of 5?

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi,

The sales order that I created yesterday was managed to come out in the MRP list after I excute the MRP run, and when I using the MRP type PD or V1, it will create the PR including the sales order qty.

But today when I create a few more sales orders, these sales orders no longer coming out in the MRP list except yesterday sales order. I create the sales order exactly the same as per yesterday, but it just won't come out.

Can anyone advise? Please help, thanks.

To reflect revised Qty., you have to run MRP again.

Hi Muralidhara,

I rerun the MRP again already, but still the sales qty does not appeared in the MRP list.

Only the sales order that I created yesterday appeared in the MRP list, but not the rest of the sales order that I created today.

For your reuquirement , the MRP type should be V1 and not VB. just change the MRP type in the masterial master and run MRP, preferably regenerative planning.

Hi Sim Pho Li,

Which MRP type you are using?

To consider sales order Qty, then you have to use MRP type "PD"

Hope this info will be useful.

Hi Muralidhara,

Can I have both reorder point and sales order qty to be considered in the MRP run?

Cause when I change to MRP type "PD", it does not take into consideration of the reorder point anymore.

Please advise. Thank you.

Yes Sim Pho Li,

To do this, you have change little bit IMG settings in SPRO. If you want, system will caluculate Automatically Re-order point and Safety stock too.

For details, refer transaction code OMDQ.

Path: IMG - Consumption Based Planning - Master Data - Check MRP Type

Hope this info will be useful

you have to allow the follosing settings

Include ext. re = 1 or 2

Additonal external requirement in reorder point planning = you have to select the external for order
