Problem to deploy SDA file with SDM GUI

Former Member

Hi,

I want to deploy a SDA file in order to patch the p4 protocol of the server. Unfortunately I'm not able to do this since there is already an SDA file deployed with the same version number. The SAP online documentation says that one is able to make such SDA files deployable by setting options in the Deployment Configuration (see below). I can see these options in the SDM GUI but they are greyed out and unusable.

Does anybody have an idea what could be the reason for this?

Kind regards,

Heiko

SAP Doc:

In the Deployment Configuration area of the screen, which you can open or close with the arrow icons, you decide which archive versions are allowed to be deployed. You have the following options:

· Settings for Updating SCAs/SDAs

-> Update deployed SCAs/SDAs that have lower component versions than the selected SCAs/SDAs only

With this option, you can deploy new archives only, or update existing archives with a newer version.

-> Update deployed SCAs/SDAs that have the same or lower component versions than the selected SCAs/SDAs

With this option, you can redeploy existing archives. This overwrites the previous deployment.

-> Update deployed SDAs/SCAs that have any version

With this option, you can deploy any archive, without its version being checked by the SDM.

You need to set up the options at step 1 after adding the SDA file.
