Reusable Context Menu Item - Web Template Termination

When I insert a Context Menu Item that has been saved as a resuable web item the web template teminates with the following error when it is executed.

The following error does not occur if I use a Context menu item - only if I use a resuable context menu item. We are on SP10 for both front and back end.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

Root Cause

The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:

Fatal Error: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XMLParser: No data allowed here: (hex) 0(:main:, row:2, col:0)

Hi,

This is a program error that will be corrected in SPS 10 Patch #09 & SPS 9 Patch #16 (Java Patches). You have to apply the patch to your system. We already get a customer message on this issue.

Hi Karol,

We are currently on Frontend SP11, revision 277,

SAP Netweaver BI 7.0 = SAPKW70011.

And the problem still exists. I still have an outstanding OSS issue so am yet to be advised of a patch to our system.

Hi,

As I wrote before. The error is in Web Template deployment which is implemented in Java. You have BI SP 11 ABAP Support Package which corresponds to SPS 10 Java. The Patch is currently in retest. We plan to delivery it this week if all retests are sucessfull.

Just to close the loop on this problem:

This is my final reply from SAP.

Patch is available on Service Market Place for download."</i>

If you want to a more usefull explanation of what to do and save your time scratching around the Software Distribution Center I would recommend referring to OSS note 1023623 and 1011241.

I hope this helps anyone else facing the same problem.
