What's the replacement of Information Composer in HANA SPS12 and onwards?

We know that for end-users, SAP Provided Information composer but I didn't see any updates on IC after 2013. Is this tool obsolete and not recommended to be used? Is the support stopped for this tool? What's the replacement for IC in today's HANA world?
IC could access HANA tables, if I am not wrong but Lumira/BO Explorer etc cannot directly access tables..so they cannot be the replacement I believe..
Please suggest.
