Fine-Tuning BCView

Hello Experts,

I'm currently facing the issue to maintain my bcview which was created off a bco.

Here the configurations:

I assigned the BCView to the ImplementationProjectsWCView and I am able to find the BCView in the Fine-Tuning Activity List of our implementation project, but when I open it this errer appears:

Currently I am only working with embedded components on standard extensibility basis. Due to that i have no WorkCenter to which i could assign this to.

If somebody could please provide me with further steps to be able to maintain the codelist in the fine-tuning really fast, i'd be really thankfull.

Kind Regards,

Johannes

Hi Johannes,

this is an error I also commonly face. Short answer: Wait one night and the error message will disappear.

Long answer: Apparently, there is some generation going on in the backend (see also Error opening Custom Business Configuration View in Fine Tuning "Target Not Available"). I've tried raising an incident, but by the time it gets processed, the error cannot be reproduced :-/. I've also asked if this is a known issue, but support acts like they've never heard of it ... They suggested, trying it in Silverlight UI, though.

Luckily, this issue will only affect you in your development system. If you deploy your solution to another tenant, the links will work immediately.

Hope this helps
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

sadly, this is not the approach which is going to work since I already waited a few days after I found the hint with the background job which is running in the noon time.
Still facing the same Issue.

Hi Johannes,

if it is still not working after a few *days*, and you've tried in Silverlight UI, I would suggest to open an incident. For me, it has always worked the next day and as soon as you get to the "Target UI" message, it means that there's nothing left to do from your side.

Hey Stefan,

I was so busy doing all different stuff i forgot to try it in the silverlight UI. Here I can open it and find the screen, but here an Unexpected error during backend processing appears. I think thats apparently my fault because i deleted the association in the ImplementationProjectWCView and added it again. I'll see tomorrow if I am able to add/delete entry to this list.

Kind Regards,

Johannes

Hi again Stefan,

So i waited again and apparently the screen is showing up in the Silverlight and in the HTML UI. The bad news is that i still get an error. I am going to raise an incident but I also want to ask if i have to maintain something on the screen itself because i didnt touch it yet.

Kind Regards,

Johannes

Hi Johannes,

no, you just have to add it to the Implementation Manger WCView, that's it.

Stefan
