Material Master not creating in E.C.C.6.0

Hi All,

At present we are working in Upgrade from 4.6c to E.C.C 6.0, we are facing a problem while creating a Material Master (T-Code: MM01), after entering all the required fields the system showing the message of “the field Brand is a required field; it does not contain an entry". The input parameters to create Material Master are:

Industry Sector: Chemical Industry

Material Type: Tagged Item (Copied from HALB-Semi finished Products)

Organization Levels entered are: Plant, Storage Location, Sales Organization and Distribution Channel.

Selected Views are:

Basic Data-1

Basic Data-2

Sales Organization Data-1

Sales Organization Data-2

General/Plant Data

Purchasing

Purchase Order Text

MRP-1

MRP-2

Ware House Management-1

Ware House Management-2

Accounting.

Can any one suggest us in which View the Field Brand will come to enter the required field Brand to create the Material? When we executed the same T-Code with same Input Parameters in 4.6c the system is not asking the Field Brand as a required Field and creating the Material.

    can send me the details of the error with messagenumber and can you check the table and field name by selecting the tachnical view of error.

    If it is a new server, the period requires to be opened through configuration setting.

    I will update with more information after refering in the system.

    The configuration setting is as under:

    IMG --> Logistic General --> Material Master --> Basic Settings --> Maintain Company Codes for Materials Management

    In 'Maintain Company Codes for Materials Management', Against Company Code, you require to maintain current year & month (If it is a new system / Client).

    This should sort your problem.

    go to the transaction: OMS9.

    Field Selection group: 200.

    check the field selection for the field 'BRAND'.
