SE16 not able to provide count of EPROFVAL30 values for a day

Hi,

The batch team in our program extracts the total number of entries from EPROFVAL30 for a single day(in the VALUEDAY field) via SE16. The count of records would typically exceed 4,00,000 records for a single day. The time to extract the total count from SE16 was between 5-8 minutes till June 2016.Post this the SAP server migration

(Unix to Windows, Database:Oracle to SQL,HPDC to AWS and revera)

performed in September 2016, the time to extract total count increased to approximately 20 minutes for a single day. Post this the SAP upgrade (ECC EHP 8 and NetWeaver 7.5) , the time for extraction increased to 25 minutes and eventually the transaction timed out post 30 minutes.

Could you please let us know if this is due to migration or is it a DB issue? Could we look at creating a secondary index on VALUEDAY or archiving old records is a solution for this?

I suggest use BW.

SE16 is a crude tool to review table contents.
