Issue in installing webdispatcher for Portal

Hi,

I have installed SAP webdispatcher.but in the authentication file icmauth.txt.

It is as follows

1. Authentication file for ICM and SAP Web Dispatcher authentication

icmadm:$apr1$zu1.....$zNXCi1PWSr4BOPmgQSw.N...

I really wondering whats the password,Please guide on this.

Hi,

When you install web dispatcher, it gives the password on the command prompt itself. Should make a note of it. Coz later when you check in that file, it shows only the encrypted password.

Try installing it again and be sure to note the password(4 digit, usually) in the success

message.

Hello, I did not see the icmadm password.How can I reinstall web dispatcher ,running sapinst again.

Hello ,

1. The only time you can see that icmadm password is when you issue the command ./sapwebdisp u2013bootstrap during the installation time. If you miss to note that , there is nothing you can do about it.

2. However, its not a big deal, just create another admin user like this , go to your sapwebdisp directory and issue this command

wdispmon -a pf=sapwebdisp.pfl , next screen press enter and check here on how to create another user :

If you want to reinstall the WD itself ( which is not needed ) , blow out the directory, and uncar .sar file ,, SAP WD install and configuration is about 20mins time, if you know what and how to do it.
