Configuration products in CRM

Hello,

We have some configurable products in CRM(who have been downloaded from R/3) with the GenItemCatGroup = 0002 Configurable. But we don´t use this configuration in CRM because it is quite complex, so we have thought to avoid this though the business transaction(document)

I would really like to know how i can configure my business transaction(quotation, order, contract) to avoid a product has to be configurated and to avoid the configuration tab in the item category.

thanks for your soon answer

I can´t create new materials because they are coming from R/3 Master Data, so i can´t touch them.

But there is a flag in R/3 in the item category Structure Scope(option C or D) that allow to enter the configurable product in the document ZTA(configuration tab appears) without raising any error.

CRM has this properties but system behaviour isn´t the same, I have define as follows:

Structure Scope D BOM explosion from configuration

Delivery Group Do not Create Delivery Groups

Var. matching 2 Automatic variant matching

Var.match.act. No replacement

Hi Luis Angel Fernández,

Whenever you download a configurable material into CRM, the field 'CONFIG' of the table 'COMM_PRODUCT' will be set as 'X' automatically.

So based on this flag, each time you add a product into an order the configuration tab will be displayed and you need to fill-in the grid quantities.

Without completing the configuration tab, you shouldn't be able to save the order.

I have exactly the same problem in my CRM system and until now it's impossible for me to avoid this products. I think if you archive this products you can't never use it in business transactions but I never probe that.

Respect the tab, you can test to customize some transaction variant or maybe use GUIXT to hidde it.

Hi Luis,

If that material set as configure material, tab configuration will be appear.

Do you mean, use configure material but not necessary display configuration tab

in screen? Why you not create new material (non-configurable) instead?

Even you can hide the tab screen, but system will still consider that your item has

not full configured and raise error.

That's what I am thinking...
