Extracting Reports of Asset

Dear all,

No reports on assets can be extracted for the previous year unless the asset module is closed for year 2006. The procedures for closing yr 2006 can only be effected after the capitalisation process has been effected and the depreciation run has been completed for year 2006 . I believe that extracting reports should have nothing to do with closing of modules.

Does anyone have any idea if any such report exist prior to the closing of the asset module?

Somebody advised me to run the Fiscal Year Change. However I am unsure about this in case it creates problems on the system because according to our business practice, we run Year End Closing, Run Fiscal Year Change and then, extract asset reports (in this order).

Can anyone advise me please?
