Same node twice in a hierarchy not time dependant

Dear Gurus,

it has been a long time since I asked questions 😉 But today I have a strange (from my point of view) behaviour of a hierarchy.

Here what happens. We extract a hierarchy from ECC (IS Retail actually) and load that to 0MATERIAL. In BW, the hierarchy is not time dependant, where as in ECC it (yes I know we should be in sync, but this is not the issue) . The issue I am facing is that we a material number attached in ECC to 2 nodes depending on the time, so I was expecting the load to fail in BW...Not at all. The system allows to have twice the same material number attached to 2 different nodes...May be I am idiot, but my assumptions was that it was not possible and it should create an error at the load time...Am I correct that there is something unusual ?

Hi,

to have the some leaf twice in a hierarchy the flag linked node should be lifted. Can you check in the hierarchy if you see such a setting please?

as long the leaves are not in the same node, you can duplicate them.
