How to use Intermediate Message in BPM

I am building a BPM process, closely following an example described in this blog: https://blogs.sap.com/2014/06/13/aggregator-pattern-in-nwbpm/

I am having some difficulties configuring the Intermediate Event. I am not able to select any of the defined messages as the event trigger. The messages are simply not available in the drop down list, as shown in the screnshot:

I am using NWDS 7.5

Please help me understand how can i configure the Intermediate Message properly.

Hi Leo,

It does look like a bug. If you have tried the obvious things such as recreating the process, restarting the NWDS etc., try raising an incident with SAP to see if this is a bug.

It turned out that the reason why I could not add the Event Trigger in my intermediate message is because i was trying to use the same interface as the start message. This BPM process is called synchronously by PI so there would have been no way to determine the mapping steps if this was allowed. So an interface of a different type works. Thanks for your help.

Hi Leo,

Are you able to see the Trigger messages in the Start activity? Can you provide a screenshot of that as well?

Yes, the trigger messages are visible from the Start Message. Please see the screenshot:

Could this be a UI bug?
