Xi installation error.

Hi All;

during XI installation in visual administrator we transfer the roles into the user groups this is giving the error "role assignment failed "

What is that i m missing .

please help.

    Are you getting this error during WAS J2EE installation.

    Can you provide some more information ,to help me understand the problem.

      Hi,

      While uninstalling <sysid>adm user will also get deleted. so login using someother administrator userid. create <sysid>adm user and then restart the system. now login using <sysid>adm user and run the java instance again. i guess this is the only way to proceed. 😊

    hey tushar,

    check the following

    1) did u generate the roles for SAP_XI* and SAP_SLD*

    go to transaction code PFCG ---> Utilities ---> mass generation

    then give SAP_XI* for first time, then again with SAP_SLD* and finally for SAP_BC_AI_LANDSCAPE_DB_RFC

    2) choose Utilities ---> mass comparision and give SAP_XI*

    3) then u need to specify SLD data supplier

    check all these things are properly setup
