BI Accelarator

Hi,

If I would like to use the BI Accelarator while loading the data in to a InfoCube, where am I supposed to set that indicator ?

Do I need to have BI Accelarator interfaced to the BW server to be able to see any such settings for BIA?

I appreciate your reply.

Thanks,

In continuation..some insights.

You can create only one BI accelerator index for each InfoCube. This BI accelerator index contains all the data from the InfoCube. In contrast to the procedure with aggregates, it is not necessary to make specific selections and restrictions for the definition of the BI accelerator index.

HI:

This is not a "cube setting", instead you use the menu option from the context menu in the data warehousing workbench "maintain BIa index". Once you use the wizard to activate the BIa indexes, you can fill them with data via the wizard. You can get to this wizard also through RSDDV.

Once BIa indexes are active for a cube, you use the normal process chain process type for "rollup" and "change run" to add new data into the BIa indexes when loaded into the cube, or when adding and activating new master data. The system knows BIa indexes are active once you have performed these steps of activating and filling.

Thanks in advance for any points you choose to assign -

Best Regards -
