BSP Newbie - Initial start-up problem

Dear All

I am relatively new to BSP and I am slowly working my way through these forums to resolve my first issue but so far i have had no joy. i am trying to run a BSP app in SE80 via the 'TEST' option. I then get the familiar bsp error URL does not specify a complete domain (sapdev instead of sapdev.<domain>.<ext>). I have followed the forums and have set a new parameter for icm/host_name_full to be the fqdn so it is sap.xxx.xx.network. I have then done a refresh using the smicm transaction.

However. i am still getting this issue. i have also checked the services in sicf and they are correctly activated.

Is there anyone who can help?

Hello,

Please set the parameter:

'SAPLOCLAHOSTFULL' to the FQDN.

And use the FQDN for calling the application.

Best regards,

Are you using Minisap?

You need to re-boot your SAP System to make this changes effective.

Thank you for your quick reply. No we don't use mini sap. Although I am working on a test client I am tied to a maintenance schedule so I can only bounce the server on a specified day. This unfortunately is Saturday. Is there no other way of refreshing the system to realise the changes made?

Thank you in advance.

Alec,

I dont think so apart of bouncing the server to make it effective.

Yes, that sounds good. Close the thread once you solve your issue.
