PIOS driver and connector not properly deployed

Hi all

I am facing problem in deploying the driver and connector to activate the barcode scanner in the SYMBOL pocket PC. The following are the drivers.

piscsym9090_wm50_xsl_crm_1_1_8

connector_wm50_xsl_crm_1_1_7

It gets deployed and I am able to see the corresponding folders in the MI\add-on, but the required files from the driver folders are not copied to the PIOS folders, as mentioned in the post-install.txt.

I am just adding the above sda files (driver & connector) as a component to my device (NetweaverAdministrator) and I sync it.

Am I missing something while deploying?.. Please advice

Thanks

Raj

Hi Sivakumar

Thanks for your reply. I am using SYMBOL Pocket PC 9094 with 128MB RAM(64+64) with WM5.0 and Creme 2.7a. I tried executing the -ml with 65536 as in the note. But the memory is not increasing beyond 32732. I was able to decrease it, but not able to increase it. Please advice.

Thanks

Hi Sivakumar

While goin through this, we found out that our device has 64MB of RAM (program) and 128MB of flash (data) and not 128MB of RAM. WM5 is using nearly 30MB and that is the reaon, I guess only 32732KB is available for Creme. Can you give your suggestions on this, if this is the case is it not possible to deploy the driver and connector in our device??

Thanks

Hi Sivakumar

Problem solved. Actually the device we had has only 64MB main memory and only half is assigned for creme, as I said in the previous post and was not able to increase. But I manually copied the files and now the scanner is getting activated and works perfectly fine. Looking for devices that has a higher memory.

The reply of yours was the clue to solve the problem. Thank you very much.
