How to add missing standard fields in Reporting

Hello All,

I am trying to Build a report based on Ticket Item details, mainly using following fields.

Ticket id

Ticket Item

Requested Start Date

Actual Start Date

Requested End Date

Actual End Date

I don't find Actual Start Date and Actual End date of Ticket Item in any of the standard data sources, how to get these two fields in to reporting? In General if any of the standard fields are missing in data sources what is the way to add them? Also is there any way to check data source based on standard field??? I know we have option to check based on extension field.

    Hi,

    The fields you listed are all available as standard fields in reports. Not sure why you needed to do it via SDK.

    Requested Start Date

    Actual Start Date

    Requested End Date

    Actual End Date

    These fields are classified as Key figures and not characteristics.

    Ticket ID and Ticket Item are available in the standard datasource called Ticket Item.

    In general if you want to add fields to a report, you need to be in 'Design Reports' first and then within a report, there is an option to Add Characteristics. This will allow you to add fields either to the report view or report selection. The Business Analytics guide details all the steps in order to achieve this.

      Thanks your information, it is very helpful, I was exactly looking for Item level actual start date and actual end date, these fields were not available in Ticket Item data source when this question was raised on SDN. Now I can see these two fields are available, Thanks a lot.

    Just an update, we can add standard fields which are missing in data sources using SDK, we have option to create custom data source using SDK where you can include standard fields, but again not all the standard fields are available even using this option.
