Roles

What is User,What do u mean by User, How many user can we create for one project(we implmented 2500 emp),Is there any relationship between the users and no of emplorees that we implemented Hr.

    the No of emps need not necessarily match the no of Users in SAP.. It is a common practice to grant SAP access to only those who really need it.. this is partly due to the Licnesing fees too..

    Hai Suresh,

    how many rolls that we need to creat for implementing one project,Ex if w are implementing nearly 15000 employees on what basis we can create the rolls explain me brefily.

    Hi Reddy,

    Users are those who maintain/change the data in the SAP system. All the employees need not be users. Roles are created for users only. Though you have 15000 employees it doesnÂ’t mean you have to fix them in some roles. For them you may have only 2-3 users from HR to maintain the data. If you have two users in HR and one can only view the data the other has authorizations for creating positions, jobs, do the hiring etc then we have to create separate roles for them. Role 1 would have user 1 and 2 (For display access) and role 2 can have all other access in a different role which is not applicable to user 1.
