How to connect BW with BEx

Hi Experts,

I am using BW3.5. and BEx 7.0. I want to connect them.

Please guide me by sending step by step procedure.

Hi

To my knowledge that is not possible. For BW3.5 you need the BEx 3,5 SAP GUI ad on.

BEx 7,0 only applies for NW04s.

Hi chris,

I think every newer version suppots its older version. So i dont think that BW3.5 and BEx 7.0 could not be connected.

If u find anything then please tell me.

I am using BW 7.0 and BEx 3.5. But I am not sure if you can connect BW 3.5 and BEx 7.0.

Hi,

For BW 3.5 only BEx 3.5 can be used.

For BW 7.0 both BEx 3.5 & BEx 7.0 can used.

BeX 7.0 query designer is quite different from BeX3.5 and when you install the fron end you will find the new version under BI and the old version still active - use the old version for 3.5 queries..
