Installation issue on ECC5.0

Hello all,

I am trying to install ECC5.0. Central installation went fine. During the database install I am getting this following error during "R2load jobs:running 1, waiting 0".

Here is the error in "SASSSEXC.LOG".

Do you want to install IDES for ECC5.0?

Hi Narayanan Swamy,

Are you installing the IDES for ECC 5.0 and also are you installing the Unicode version?

If answer to above both the questions is yes, then SAP is not supporting Unicode for IDES of ECC 5.0.

Yes, for myself I want to install UNICODE and IDES .

So if SAP is not supporting UNICODE for IDES of ECC 5.0 hiw can i install IDES ?

Really ECC5 ides is not support for UNICODE.plz give m ereply.i am also getting same problem.i am planning to install ECC5.0 ides and XI in one system.so i need UNI code system.

Hi,

Check if DB parameters are set in enviroment variable

Oracle_home=<path>

Oracle_SID=<SID>

Set and rerun the SAPINST for DB phase.
