hi guyz ,i cant see two names on the header of the alv report.i can see only dots(...) .........but when i drag it i can see the names on the header.........why is it so.....plz advise

You should increase the length of the coloumn output i.e. OUTPUTLEN of your field catalogoue.

thanks for ur answer........but it is not for every other fied on the header......they r alright ....its just for two fields............

wa_fieldcat-outputlen   = 15.

I believe you are displaying your column names in SELTEXT_L?

chk this eg.

  fieldcatalog-fieldname   = 'EBELN'.
  fieldcatalog-seltext_m   = 'Purchase Order'.        "medium
  fieldcatalog-seltext_l   = 'Purchase Order'.          "long
  fieldcatalog-seltext_s   = 'Purchase Order'.        "small
  fieldcatalog-col_pos     = 0.
  fieldcatalog-outputlen   = 10.                             "output length
  append fieldcatalog to fieldcatalog.
  clear  fieldcatalog.
