Hi
I am currently using smartforms to print to Zebra printers. the fields are printing on Portrait format, i am not able to get them to print Landscape. I used the documented Command Node in Smartforms -
Attribute Name: S_LZPL_SETUP
Attribute Value: '^FWR'
this is still not working for me...am i doing something wrong in this Command line?
Documentation says i can only use Portrait in smartforms because Zebras doesn't understand Landscape...documentation offers the above workaround, but it doesnt seem to work for me...has it work for any of you?

Hi,
why don]t you use BARONE for R3 for design the label, it]s easier and faster.
With barone you don't have to worry about thise command.
Thanks

Documentation says i should use BARONE only for sapscript...for smartforms i would have to use Smartforms...and we went through alot just to get the Zebra communication set up...
I just can't see why this command is not working for me whereas i see it has been working for others in this forum...

Can someone help shed some light to the issue i am currently experiencing? I am trying to use a Smartforms design with a Zebra label printer ZPL II language. I have added the S_LZPL_SETUP command in a Command node in Smartforms in the Attribute Name and a '^FWR' as the value. but it is not working as I cannot see the text being printed with a 90 degree rotation. has anyone ran into this problem before? I would appreciate a reply. Thanks

Amit,
I have checked the Zebra site, I also have an open ticket with Zebra help...they still seem to not be able to help me out..I have read all the SAP Notes and apply all necessary packages or service packs to version Basis 640 that is required.
Any specific ideas on why the statement is not working is appreciated. Thanks

Hello again,
currently i have some smartforms printing to zebra printers, and i did it, using BARONE for ZPL generation.
it's exactly the same thing, you create a main window, and in the text editor toy click "TxtEditor" just above the "Check" buttonm and you pass to the sapscript tradicional editor. In there copy adn paste the ZPL code.
Define the parameters in the "Form interface" and i'ts done.
this way you will be able to resolve your problem, it's up to you to use (or not) the barone for Smartforms.

Pedro,
I am trying the route that you are proposing...a couple of questions on the details.
So i used BARONE and have generated the ZPL code.
Now I go into the smartform, created a section of Code to retrieve my data in SAP.
How do i assign my data to the ZPL Fields (FD)? how exactly do you do it in the Form Interface section? this would be my first time doing this so i am not sure how.
Also, should BASIS be using a standard ASCII device type for this to work? because as of now, I asked BASIS to use a LZEB3 device type for the printer as noted by SAP Notes 750002 and 750772
Thanks

Hi,
I am facing the same problem. I have passed the attribute name & value in the command node. But I don't see any difference in the output. How did you overcome this issue? Could you please share with me...
Thanks,
Sriram.
