SAVE Button in the IP Lyout in BEX

Dear All,

I have created an input ready query and created a Button to Save plan values. The problem is that when I click on the Button all the values which was newly recorded are deleted/refreshed and not saved.

If I use Right click on the Query and choose the 'Save values' menu item it is not working.

The properties of the button are the following:

Static parameters: CMD SAVE_AREA

Command range: Empty

Adjust range to item sized: Marked

Any idea why the button does not operate?

I believe you need to use the command: SAVE_DATA.

The command behind the button in IP is SAVE_AREA . How should the SAVE_DATA command be incorporated.?

Hi Poorna,

Choose a button on your BEX worksheet and then choose "EXIT DESIGN " mode .Double click on the button , then choose Planning function specific command setting --> "SAVE" .on the Button properties screen you should see "CMD" & "SAVE_AREA".

Note :

New records that you want to save it in the cube have to be unique for all the characteristics, only then the record/data will be saved.
