Consumption Values in Material master

Hi,

We are using the Sales and operation planning.

While creating the sales plan we want to use the forecast.

The forecast is based on the history of the consumption.

Consumtion history is updated automatically whenever goods are issued from the warehouse.

But for make to order strategy 50 , the consumption is not automatically updated when the finished goods are delivered against the sales order.

Whereas some other materials with make to stock strategy are updating the consumption with quantity match the movement type 601.

Anybody has any clue why this is happening?

    Hi,

    For make to order it will not update the conusmption, because you are not planning according to the consumption which you made, for make to order when ever you are going to get the order then you are going to place the sale order so there is no need to update the consumption for the make to order sratergy only for make to stock it is required.

    I am using strategy 50. Even though its a make to order production. I want a procurement before sales order hence I need forecast.

    I want to generate my forecast based on the consumption history.
