Hi experts,

I want to know whether , i can install language packs on top of the IDES system.

Currently we have IDES 4.7 non unicode and IDES 5.0 non unicode in our landscape and Sol. Mgr on windows platform.

Hi,

You can only install languages that are available and supported by the non-unicode code page that you have installed on your system.

You can find the language availability by code-page in SAP Note 73606.

Hi,

Yes it is possiable to install language on top of the non unicode IDES system.

Once you installed that system becomes a unicode system.

Try to go with T code SMLT.

And set this <b>zcsa/installed_languages</b>

parameter in instance profile(for particular instance) default profile(for all instances)
