long email names

if email addresses are too long then u have 2 ways to resolve this -

1) Either enhance IT0105 and increase the lenght of field storing mail address .

u can use PM01 transaction for enhancing any Infotype.

2) U can create a totally new screen of IT0105,Subtype 0010 ..say name it as 9046..u can just copy the sap standard screen and then u can do modifications to ur mail ID field length and then in SPRO u have to call this screen whenevr creating IT0105,Subtype 0010 for ur company employees instead of standard SAP screen.

Hi,

There are two fields in infotype 105 for storing communication details.One field is short and the other is long which can be used for storing communication details. I don't remember the technical names.You can go to screen modification node and select the long field in place of the short one.Hope that will be able to accomodate the long name.

you can go to V_T591C table view to select the subtype for email to be of long id. this should solve yr problem

To store the employee mail id you can use IT0105(Subtype 0010). This is SAP Default subtype. You can store via PA30 transaction.
