How to do System Refresh OR System copy from TEST to DEV with SOL MAN

Hi Gurus,

I have to do system refresh or system copy from test to dev i.e. development system has to be refreshed. Can any one tell me the procedure how to follow the steps in solution manger. How to prepare this system copy in solution manger????

Hello,

System copy specified with same db/os term as homogenous migration, fyi.

You need to get SAP NW04 bundle to run prepare and system copy phase startup options are there in SAPINST front end. Ensure your SM version should be 3.1

Can the system copy be done from solution manager or it has to be done by regular procedure, (as when there is not solution manager).

We are using SM 4.0

Hello,

No system copy is Os/db task not handle in SM 3.1 or SM4.0

It will done by regular procedure with SM.

Involve DBA and OS admin for this activity.

Take complete backup for system and start system copy. SM 4.0 is core component for BPBCRM 4.0. Use NW04 SAPINST tools.

Revert if any problem.
