Crystal Reports 2008 no longer taking OLEDB data source from Peachtree Sage 50

I have been using some customized Crystal Reports in conjunction with our accounting program, Sage 50 mainly to generate sales commissions. I’ve been doing it this way for over a decade now when Sage used to be PeachTree and PeachTree used to come with Crystal Reports. Sage/PeachTree no longer supports Crystal Reports, however, I have been able to link the data for the last few years to populate the reports. Something changed, however and I can’t do this anymore. We paid a considerable sum at the time to have someone develop these custom reports and they still are perfect for what we do. I’m willing to upgrade but I need to know that I’ll either be able to use my existing reports and pull the data from Sage 50 or have them recreated. Can you please help or direct me appropriately?

I’m running Crystal Reports 2008 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I’m also running Sage 50 Accountant Edition 2017 which is the data source in this case. It’s an OLDB thing.

Customer purchased a single case and we are working on it.

Some issues with the Pervasive OLE DB Driver, CR cannot find it and nor can OLE DB for ODBC find it....

ODBC works, but not all reports work with ODBC.

Hi Gabriel,

Did you recently upgrade to Sage 50 or the database? My guess is the database is now 64 bit which Crystal can't work with. If you can get a 32 bit driver then you should be fine again.

I vaguely remember something different about the PeachTree driver but for the life of me, I can't recall. Just know that even the latest versions of Crystal are still 32 bit.

Good luck,

Brian
