Web item "Filter Pane" in NW2004s

Hi all (and happy New Year to everybody),

1) In 3.x web templates, web item "Navigation Block" enables to set more than one influenced dataprovider.

In 7.0 web templates, this option doesn't exist for web item "Filter Pane". Do you know any workaround to set filters for more several dataproviders ?

2) Can someone explain what the parameter "AUTOMATIC_APPLY" is for ?

Thanks.

Hello Tobias and thank you for your reply.

That's exactly what I thought about this parameter.

I wonder why they dare to make such parameter visible although the functionnality is not yet implemented.

And I guess that in NW04s much parameters have the same behavior (i.e. NO behavior !) as this one.

Have you any list of such (doing nothing) parameters used in WAD ?

Hello Pierre!

No, this is a specific problem not something general. Therefore there is no list of parameters with no behavior. We simply missed this parameter.

It is difficult to hide this parameter in the Web Application Designer. We will work on this issue.

Any idea when this feature may be implemented?

Hi Pierre!

This parameter was invented allowing to filter several characteristics before you apply a filter. Currently, after each filter operation, the new filter is applied (and the Web Application is refreshed = round trip). If you disable this parameter, a Apply button should appear.

This Apply button is currently not implemented. It is a limitation. Sorry that this new feature is quite visible even if it is not implemented.

Well regarding several data providers -Prakash can answer best, abt

automatic_apply - You use this parameter to specify whether the system is to make changes to the data provider automatically
