We have just installed EP 7.0 which is connected to back-end ERP2005 system and uses its UME.
I have installed the necessary contents and business packages for ESS/MSS and now trying to configure the users. I have assigned Employee Self-Service (standard portal) role to one of the admin users and found that I am able to see the ESS menu (with all the sub-options) on the portal screen when I logon as admin.
I then assigned the same role to a test user (the user was created in ABAP system) in portal. However, when I logon with this test user id, I do not see any ESS user menu on the portal screen. For a test, I assigned the Administrator role to this end user and then I could see the ESS menu alongwith the other sys. admin tabs on the screen. But when I removed this admin role, the ESS menu disappeared again.
Pl note that I have not changed any of the standard SAP portal roles.
Can someone please help me and tell what authorisations could be missing here?
