This link is very much helpful. I need some more clarification from u. For process industry, what are all the master datas required?

Is it same like PP (BOM, Work center, routing) ?

What about Master receipe and control recipe? Is these are mandatory master datas or optional?

What is Master recipe and what is its importance?

hi,

The business object <b>master recipe</b> is the description of an enterprise-specific process in process industries, that does not relate to a specific order. The master recipe is used for the manufacture of products or for rendering services.

Using <b>control recipes</b>, you transfer control data from the process order to process control. The information contained in a control recipe and the destination to which it is sent are user-defined.

Master Recipe is one of the key master datas which has the sequence of process steps.

and if you want to maintain PI Sheets then you need to have Control Recipes created.

For each operation in a Master recipe depending on the business requirement you assign it to different control recipe destinations as one operation may be manually confirmed and for other operation the data is fetched from a PDC.

Master recipe is nothing but Routing in PP. Is it know?

In what way Routing and Master recipe differs? In which transaction code should i create Master recipe?

In PP, in routing we are defining sequence of operations.

Routing and Master Recipe are one and the same conceptually.

C201 is the transaction code used to create Master Recipe and Resources are used in Master Recipe.

Routing in PP and Recipe in PP-PI as Work Center in PP and Resource in PP-PI.

BOM is built in Master Recipe, but in Routing we create a routing, BOM and assign BOM to Routing. BOM and Routing are independent in PP.

Hi Rama,

Y have told that BOM will be built-in in Master recipe. But i am creating BOM seperately in CS01 (as in PP) and calling in master recipe. Is it correct?

Otherwise could u guide me , how to create BOM in mater recipe itself?
