PM: time-based strategy plans, different units of measure

We want to use the units ‘month’, ‘week’ and ‘year’ for one periodic plan. Tasks has to been done on a weekly, monthly, 2-, 3- and 6 monthly base and on a yearly base. The weekly and de monthly tasks has to be done in one order. During the yearly maintenance the weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance must be done in one order.

When I only use the unit ‘week’, there will be the following problem: 4 weeks = 1 month, so in 1 year there will be 13 times the monthly order, 1 time too much.

If I use weeks and month in the strategy, the monthly order will not be on the same date as the weekly one.

How to cope with this problem?

The second question: Is it possible to change or delete the call/plan date in the schedule of the maintenance plan, even if the maintenance calls due on earlier dates are still on hold.

Thanks,

Rhonda
