Hi everyone,

I have a question about the number of Instances and clients on a SAP System, suppose in the case of PRODUCTION system PRD. As we have one central Instance in each system, one database Instance and a number of dialog instances will be there. After we finish the installation where will the three default client will actually shows up? Does they sow up inside the CI or can they be seen for either CI or any DI? Also suppose we want to create another client using SCC4 , where should we actually create them? Shall we create the new client in CI or in one of the DI? Also after its creation will it be visible on every instance or will it be visible only on that Instance on which it is created? Last question is that if in case it will be visible only in the instance in which it is created will it be able to use resources from other instances? Sorry for asking too many question. Thanks in advance

Hi Yogi,

Please post your question in the "Application Lifecycle Management" community space:

https://www.sap.com/solution/platform-technology/it-management/application-lifecycle-alm.html

I know it can be confusing at times since our product name is SAP Landscape Management :-)

However, this is not the right forum for your question since, it's a general SAP system setup question.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Adarsh
