Update SAP 7.00/0022 from SAP 7.00/0020 issue

Hello FRiends,

I have installed SAP NW 2004s on windows platform. Now i had tried to update SAP 7.00/0022 from SAP 7.00/0020. Now the problem is , its not showing me updated successfully. as its showing

SPAM/SAINT update is being processed

import_phase : import_proper

Showing red status. and not able to reset or import queue or do any things. showing error like

Error in phase : IMPORT_PROPER

Reason For Error : (nothing here)

Return Code : (Nothing here)

Error Message: (Nothing Here)

Problem Can be in

TP_INTeERFACE_FAILURE

TP_FAILURE

TP_STEP_FAILURE like that.

So can u plz suggest me what to do.? because i m not able to go ahead. not able to install new patches. so plz guide me as soon as early.

Hi,

Replace the R3trans ,TP with the new version and try..Best option is to update the kernel to the latest level and Try out..Check the action log too.

HI umesh

I can view SPAP UPDATED 022 when i m executing transaction code SPAM. but the status is in RED. its showing some PROLOGUE error. Again i m importing the 022 its hangs in MAIN IMPORT error code 4. so what to do now ? if i do not want to update from 20 to 22. so how can i remove from here ?

Hi,

Check the Acion log of the support package..It will clearly gives the error details..U cant revert the support packs....post the action log

Here i m sending the last action log. Its showing error in IMPORT_PROPER.

The current OCS Queue consists of:

999: SAPKD70022

First import SPAM/SAINT update SAPKD70022 completely

| The import will not be started

Hi Deepak,

Are you doing SPAM Update ? cause from your log file it looks like you are updating spam /saint.

It looks like your SAPKD70022 (SPAM update 22) is stuck in your queue.

For SAP Netweaver 2004s (WEBAS 7.00) , we have the following SAP Note:

Note 822379 - Known problems with Support Packages in SAP NW 2004s AS ABAP

In the above mentioned SAP note it is stated that :

<b>SPAM/SAINT Version 700/0021 contains an adjustment to the new SAR archive format.</b>.

So it looks like you cannot apply SPAM patch 21 and 22 together and have to apply them one by one.

One suggestion is to clear up the SPAM queue using the note given below and apply SPAM Patch 21 first and then apply SPAM patch 22.

Use the following note to clear up the SPAM queue and reimport SPAM update.
