in what case we should use another namepsace than the default, i.e. sld?

So far I have seen many SLD settings.

Basically all are using the default namespace that is sld.

Could anybody tell in what circumtance should another namspace than

sld be used?

Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

you can use different namespaces in software components

when you want to distinguish diffrent interfaces for example

    http://yourcompany.com/purchaseorder

in this one you create objects for only this interface

    http://yourcompany.com/salesorder

in the second one you create objects only for sales

    order interface

    Hi,

Whenever you go for custom developments wrt business requirements like Order processing, Estimates, invoice etc , then you it is prefer to create your own.

It will helpu to defferentiate with standard one and also helps u to understand the logical grouping of some specific process flow.

You can use different SLD name space for each environment in your company so that they dont interfere with each other in the objects imported into SLD. Basically its the same concept whether in repository or SLD, to have separate work space.
