Printing a long sentence in a certificate. Text as characteristic value.

Dear experts

I need to include in a certificate (issued at material level, so not a CoA) a complete long sentence that is a legal statement and should go for each of these documents.

I cannot use the general characteristics to fill the form because I have a limit of 30 characters and these sentences are much longer and I have many of them per certificate.

How can I include a text as a value of a general characteristic? Can I use a standard text of transaction SO10 and establish that the text ID from SO10 is the value? Is there another way to include a long text in a certificate using general characteristics?

Thank you!

M

The inspection text from the material master can be included in the COA. The standard example SAP script form from SAP provides an example of doing just that.

Thank you, I am doing what you suggested, creating more views in the material master in the "Additional Data" screen group, that are based on the "Inspection text".

Also, as an FYI, the example SAP SAPscript form also shows the ability to print long text from the COA profile. So each profile can have it's own text. And of course standard text can be included into the COA SAPscript form as well.
