.txt file to RFC Scenario: Table records getting deleted

Hello Experts,

I am working on a scenario where .txt file is coming in PI and PI is then sending the records to ECC via RFC.

1. PI to ECC RFC connectivity is OK.

2. PI is successfully sending the data through RFC.

3. The RFC in ECC is inserting the records in a custom table.

Issue: However the table entries are getting deleted in a time duration of less than one min.

Could you please let me know whether this issue can be handled in PI Receiver RFC Communication Channel or it can be handled in the RFC itself?

I have checked the option "Commit Handling for Single BAPI Calls" under the Advanced Mode of the Receiver RFC Channel. But the issue doesn't resolve.

Thanks in Advance,

Sayanti Mukherjee

Hi Sayanti!

I'm not much experienced in ABAP programming but you could try to use COMMIT WORK command in RFC code.

Hi,

Did you test the rfc in ECC and confirm if this is the standard behavior?

Hi Sayanti,

If you are using any BAPI for this purpose and calling it from a RFC to externally impose commit work, then data should not be deletaed from the table after certain time.

Make sure no other job is running in your ECC system which is accessing the custom table and deleting data from there.

Thanks,

Apu
