Why does the field updated/edited in ADSO, doesn't reflect in Transformation BW4HANA?

I have a ADSO, in which i changed the data type of a field from Char to Int2/4. but it does not reflect in transformation, and i had to delete the field from ADSO and Transformation both. and then again I added the field to ADSO, and created transformation. then only I was able to view the changed data type. please let me know the reason why, data type change in field, not reflected in transformation.

Hi Ameya,

The transformation displayed is the active version. It remains the same whether or not you change the source or target.

My expectation would be that the transformation would become inactive and you could see the changed source or target fields.

Did the transformation become inactive?

If it did become inactive and you did not see the changes, that is disappointing.

The system is remembering the last structure saved.

On the occasion when I have made significant changes to source or target, it was simpler to delete the transformation and start fresh.

Thanks for the reply. Transformation doesn't goes to Inactive version. However, as suggested by you, I delete the transformation and started fresh again it works.
